Biocon Diagnósticos Ltda supports the Tucca Project, which not only provides treatment for underprivileged children and adolescents with cancer, but also works on different approaches to topics related to the patient and cancer, from researching new drugs to reintegrating young patients into their school and social environments.
Tucca finances exams not covered by SUS (Brazil's public healthcare system) to enable more precise and faster diagnosis, accelerating the start of the correct treatments and thus increasing the chances of cure.
Biocon makes monthly donations that contribute to the treatment of hundreds of underprivileged children and adolescents with cancer who are treated through the TUCCA project, as well as to the activities of the Center of reference in the treatment of childhood and juvenile cancer, a partnership with Santa Marcelina Hospital in
Itaquera, East Zone of São Paulo.
